Zah Frazier is a name to know at CB for 2025 Draft
Zahquan "Zah" Frazier might be the next big thing at the CB position. Scouts are impressed.
Out of Cedartown, Georgia, the hometown of former all-pro runningback, Nick Chubb, Zah Frazier is an extremely lengthy, athletic, and versatile cornerback. Starting his career at Southern Illinois, Zah Frazier quickly made an impact and decided to head to Junior College to work his way back up to the top level of football.
UTSA’s Zah Frazier has been steadily climbing the ranks on NFL scouting boards, drawing attention with his exceptional combination of speed and length—qualities that have made him one of the top defensive prospects coming out of Conference USA. Known as the fastest player on the UTSA football team over the past two seasons, as confirmed by the strength and conditioning staff, Frazier has consistently proven his athletic prowess, which scouts see as pivotal in translating to the next level.
Frazier's time at UTSA has been marked by steady progression and significant contributions on defense. In 2023, he appeared in five games, contributing three solo tackles and showcasing his ability to disrupt plays with a crucial pass breakup in a commanding 49-21 win against South Florida. He also played a role in UTSA’s historic first bowl game victory, a 35-17 win over Marshall in the Frisco Bowl. This followed a solid debut season in 2022, where he registered seven tackles in 12 games, including three unassisted stops in the win over Texas Southern.
Early in the 2024 season, Zah Frazier recorded a 2 interception game against ECU combined with multiple pass deflections.
Prior to joining UTSA, Frazier established himself as a JUCO All-American at Coffeyville Community College, earning national recognition as a four-star recruit and the No. 3 JUCO cornerback prospect. His JUCO stats were impressive, with 11 pass breakups, 26 tackles, and a forced fumble in 2021, leading Coffeyville to a conference championship. His exceptional ball skills and length at 6’1” have drawn comparisons to former UTSA standout Tariq Woolen, who made waves in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks. Like Woolen, Frazier’s speed and reach make him an ideal candidate to handle elite receivers at the next level, giving scouts reason to keep a close eye on his development as he approaches the NFL Draft.
With his blazing speed and disciplined technique, Frazier continues to rise as a versatile and athletic cornerback, positioning himself as a promising prospect with the potential to follow in Woolen’s footsteps.
